It can be hard to make meditation a habit. You might find yourself too busy or don’t know how to get started. But once you make it a habit, it can change your life for the better. 

Imagine this: You’re sitting in traffic, frustrated and angry. The car in front of you won’t move, and the driver is just sitting there with the engine on. You start honking your horn and then yelling at the other driver through the open window. 

Suddenly, you remember that you’re supposed to be meditating right now. You take a few deep breaths, close your eyes, and let go of your anger. In just a few minutes, you feel much calmer and more relaxed.

Meditation has helped me slow down, focus on the present moment, and find peace and calm in the midst of stressful situations. It’s also helped me to reduce stress and anxiety levels overall. Start by setting aside just 5 minutes each day for your practice. You may not see results overnight, but stick with it, and you’ll be amazed at the difference it can make. Trust me – meditation is worth the effort!

Get Your Meditation Practice off the Ground

If you can’t meditate first thing in the morning, try to find another time that works for you and be consistent with it. The key is to make meditation a part of your daily routine to become second nature. Eventually, you won’t even have to think about it – it will just become a part of your day.

So set your alarm a few minutes earlier and start your day with a peaceful meditation session.

Reasons Why Your Meditation Habit Hasn’t Stuck

You’re not alone if you’ve tried to make meditation a habit but can’t seem to make it stick. The truth is, it’s not as easy as it looks. However, it is doable with the right Mindset. Here are four reasons your meditation habit hasn’t stuck…yet.

What happens when you meditate daily?

I know I’ve certainly tried to establish a regular practice, but somehow always seems to fall off the meditation wagon after a few weeks. So what exactly happens if we do manage to stick with a regular meditation routine?

It can be tough to stick to a meditation practice, especially if you don’t enjoy it. But don’t worry, you’re not alone. In fact, I managed to meditate for a few months, even though I didn’t always enjoy the experience. Here are a few tips that helped me: 

1. Make time for meditation: One of the biggest challenges is finding time to meditate. If you can’t seem to make time for it, try getting up early or setting aside 10 minutes before bed. Put it in your calendar like any other appointment and make it a priority. 

2. Find a comfortable place: It’s important to find a comfortable place to meditate. This could be a quiet room in your house or even outside in nature. If you can’t find a quiet place, try using headphones and listening to calm music or white noise. 

3. Set realistic goals: Don’t expect to meditate for hours at a time, especially in the beginning. Start with small goals, like 5-10 minutes per day, and gradually increase the amount of time as you get more comfortable with the practice. 

4. Be patient: Meditation takes time and patience to master. So don’t worry if you can’t clear your mind right away or if you sometimes fall asleep during meditation. Just keep practicing and eventually, you’ll start seeing results.
